Global NR prices fall over the weekend

London - Rubber prices fell sharply over the weekend. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed down 9 at just above yen 246 ($3.07) on Monday 05 November. Shorter-dated prices also fell sharply to closed at yen 237 (from 245).

In Singapore, the April 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down 8 cents at $2.80 in late trading on Monday evening; December 2012 prices were also down to trade around at $2.77.

In India, NMCE said November prices closed down 2 at just over Rs 176 ($3.22). December prices closed marginally down at just below Rs 179.

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for November closed down 7 at Yuan 23.2 ($3.71) per kilo on Monday. Prices for January 2013 also fell by 0.7 to close at yuan 24.0.
