IRC, IRRDB meetings opens in India

Kottayam, India - The Internatinoal Rubber Conference has opened in Kottayam. The Hon. Union Minister for Rural Development Sri. Jairam Ramesh opened the International Rubber Conference (IRC) and Annual Meetings of the International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB) on Sunday 28 October 2012 at Hotel Samudra, Kovalam.
Over 400 delegates are registered for the two events combined. The three day long International Rubber Conference began earlier today (29 October 2012) and is expected to witness intensive deliberations on different aspects of rubber cultivation and industry. Nearly 200 Scientists and experts will present papers on R&D activities in the above subjects. Delegates including representatives from NR producing countries, growers, nursery owners, industrialists, agri-input distributors and persons from other related areas will participate in the conference.
