Aston Martin recalls vehicles for TPMS issues
ERJ staff report (TB)
Washington DC -- Aston Martin has recalled 169 V12 Vantage Coupes, model years 2010-2012, because of problems with their tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). Documents related to the recall may be found on the NHTSA website under campaign ID 12V480000.
On these vehicles, the low pressure warning lights will not illuminate until the tyre pressure in the front tyres is more than 25 percent below the vehicle manufacturer's recommended pressure, Aston Martin told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Twenty-five percent is the threshold at which the warning light must illuminate, according to NHTSA's TPMS standard.
