IRRDB to meet in Kovalam at the end of this month

Kottayam, India - The International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB)is conducting its Annual Meetings 2012 and 10th International Rubber Conference (IRC) at Kovalam. IRC will be held from 29 to 31 October 2012 at Hotel Samudra and the IRRDB Annual Meetings on 1 and 2 November 2012 at Hotel Vivanta. The Indian Rubber Board is hosting the IRRDB Annual Meetings and IRC, this year.
IRRDB is the R&D platform of natural rubber producing countries
The conference will have two days of intensive deliberations focusing on 'Challenges to Rubber Industry' on the first day and 'Farm Mechanisation' on the second day. A field trip will be arranged on the third day to visit the rubber holdings and Rubber Producers' Societies in Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu.
Meeting of the directors, CEOs and liaison officers of IRRDB will be held on 1 November and the meetings of the Board will be held on 2 November.
IRRDB, with its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has 19 countries on its membership roll and another half a dozen organisations are its associate members. IRRDB member countries cover more than 95 per cent of the world NR production.
