Tokyo NR prices stronger on Tuesday

London - Rubber prices trended upwards on Tuesday 28 August. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were up by 3 yen at just under yen 225 ($2.82) toward the end of the evening session on Tuesday. Shorter-dated prices were trading around yen 220 on Tuesday evening.
In Singapore, the February 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up at $2.63; September 2012 prices were also higher, to trade around $2.59 toward the end of the Tuesday evening session.
In India, NMCE said September prices rose to Rs 172 ($3.01). October prices also rose, to close at just under Rs 171.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for September rose to close at Yuan 21.9 ($3.38) per kilo on Tuesday. October prices also rose to close at yuan 22.1.
