Tenders sought for $600m halobutyl project in Saudi

Saudi Arabia - Project teams at the Jubail Elastomers complex are seeking tenders for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build a halobutyl rubber plant. The plant will be part of the Elastomers project in Jubail Industrial City. The project is due to be complete by the end of 2013
Pre-qualifiers include CTCI Arabian, Daelim Industrial Company, GS Engineering & Construction Company, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company Ltd. Saudi Arabia and Samsung Saudi Arabia Company Ltd. US Jacobs Engineering has been awarded a contract to carry out the front-end engineering and design (FEED) study.
