London - Rubber prices eased over the weekend, following a jump on Friday after the announcement of supply restriction by the Tripartite Council. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were down by about 1 percent at just under yen 220 ($2.77). Shorter-dated pricesalso eased slightly to yen 213 at the close of Monday's afternoon session.
In Singapore, markets were closed due to the Hari Raya Puasa holiday.
In India, NMCE was closed due to the Id-Ul-Fitr holiday.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for September eased by a fraction of a yuan at Yuan 21.7 ($3.41) per kilo on Monday. October prices closed at yuan 21.7.
