London - Rubber prices in Tokyo and Singapore resumed their downward trend on Monday. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract was trading down 6 at just under yen 212 ($2.71) on Monday 13 August. Shorter-dated prices were also down by about 6 yen at yen 205 toward the end of Monday's evening session.
In Singapore, the February 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down 5 at $2.57; September 2012 prices also eased by 8 cents, to trade around $2.50 during the Monday evening session.
In India, NMCE said August prices closed up 3 at Rs 175 ($3.16). September prices were down by one rupee at just over Rs 167.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for August closed unchanged at Yuan 22.7 ($3.57) per kilo on Monday. September prices fell by over half a yuan to close at yuan 22.1.
