Ceat reports increased sales, profits in quarter

Mumbai, India - Ceat Ltd reported increased tyre sales for the three months to 30 June 2012. Profits also increased in the period.
Consolidated net sales amounted to Rs 12,324 million (euro 180 million) in the period, compared with Rs 11,143 million a year ago.
Consolidated operating income recovered strongly to reach Rs 939 million, reversing the loss of Rs 178 million a year earlier.
