Singapore - Continental AG has opened its Euro 21 million research & development centre in Singapore. The facility was built to to meet the demand of growing engineering capacities caused by the worldwide business expansion, particularly in Asia.
The seven-storey office building, with a total floor space of approximately 10 170 sq.m., currently houses about 650 employees from the Interior division of the Continental Automotive Group, as well as colleagues from the ContiTech and the Tire division.
Based on future development, the capacity of the building can be expanded with the addition of an eighth floor, to accommodate a total of 1000 employees.
