Goodyear's airship to be used for Olympics filming
ERJ staff report (DS)
London - US broadcaster NBC is to use Goodyear's airship as a camera platform for the London Olympics, beginning next week. NBC hired part of Goodyear's North American airship fleet to support broadcasting of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010.
The airship (or blimp) is not allowed to use the Goodyear logo or branding. A Goodyear spokesman said, "Since we are not an official sponsor of, or supplier to, the Olympics, we have to fly the Blimp unbranded for the duration of the games."
