Lanxess works with NTDA on tyre labelling in UK
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Newbury, UK -- Speciality chemicals group Lanxess is partnering with the National Tyre Distributors' Association (NTDA) to ensure tyre dealers and wholesalers across the UK have everything they need to understand and manage the impact of mandatory tyre labelling in the UK from 1 Nov.
Lanxess said in a 17 July news release that the two organisations recognise the need to ensure retailers selling tyres in the UK have the information they need to cope with new demands from customers.
As part of the agreement Lanxess will also be sponsoring the NTDA Tyre and Fast Fit (TAFF) Awards in October this year where it will demonstrate the application and brief the industry on what tyre labelling means for the sector.
“Tyre labelling is going to change the tyre industry forever. Customers are going to be asking a lot more questions about the tyres they buy and they will expect their suppliers to know the answers,†commented Kim O'Connor, Country Representative of Lanxess in the UK.
