NR prices stronger during the week

London - Rubber prices moved upwards over the weekend. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract rose by around 3 percent during the week to close at yen 255 ($3.19) on Friday 06 July. Shorter-dated prices were also up to trade around yen 246 on Friday. evening.

In Singapore, the January TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up at £3.02; August prices were also up, trading around $2.98 in evening trading.

In India, NMCE said July prices eased to close at Rs 186 ($3.35). August prices were also lower at just over Rs 186.

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for July closed up a fraction at Yuan 24.2 ($3.80) per kilo on Friday. August prices were also higher at yuan 24.2..
