US roofing company opens EPDM line
ERJ staff report (DS)
Milan, Ohio - US-based Roofing supplier Johns Manville will on 22 June open a new line to make EPDM roofing materials. The new facility represents a significant investment for the Berkshire Hathaway company.
In July 2011, Johns Manville announced its plans to renovate a former rubber manufacturing facility, creating a state-of-the-art operation capable of producing approximately 100 million square feet of EPDM roofing membranes. The facility will employ approximately 75 people when fully staffed. The company has additional manufacturing facilities in Waterville and Defiance, both in Ohio.
JM opened its Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) plant in Scottsboro, Aabama, in November 2008.
