BKT reports 40% increase in full-year sales, profits

Mumbai, India - Balkrishna Industries Ltd has reported a 41 percent increase in net sales and a 39 percent in crease in pre-tax profit for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.
In its consolidated results, BKT said net sales for the 12 months increased to Rs 30,166 million (euro 433 million) from Rs 21,322 million. Pre-tax profits increased to 40,032 million from Rs 28,814 million in the period.
The consolidated results include all tyre activities, as well as Balkrishna Paper Mills Ltd, Balkrishna Synthetics Ltd, BKT Exim Ltd and BKT Tyres as well as all wholly-owned subsidiaries.
