London - Rubber prices resumed their steady slide after the weekend. Tokyo's Tocom Exchange saw prices for the six-month contract close down 14 at yen 269 ($3.36) on Monday 14 May. Shorter-dated prices were also hit, to close down 11 at yen 259 on Monday evening.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down 11 at $3.31 for November deliveries in late trading on Monday, while June deliveries were also down by 10 cents at about $3.34 in trading during the evening session.
In India, NMCE said May deliveries closed unchanged at Rs 192 ($3.57). June prices were slightly higher at Rs 197
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for May closed down by nearly a yuan at Yuan 26.2 ($4.15) per kilo on Monday.
