Singapore - A further four organisations - Heritage 3 Pte Ltd, Joss Elastomers & Chemicals, Regional Rubber Trading Co. Pte Ltd and Sumitomo Corp. - have joined the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) Panel of Associates.
Heritage 3 is a rubber industry consultant specialising in rubber plantation development and management. It also provides natural rubber sourcing, quality management and other supply chain services to industry participants.
Heritage 3's principal consultant is Peter Tan who was until recently managing director of Goodyear Orient Co. Pte Ltd., the global natural rubber supply and procurement arm of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
The consultancy organisation has been commissioned by the Rubber Trade Association of Singapore and has begun to compile a book on the recent history of the Singapore Rubber Market.
Joss Group is a privately owned trading and distribution organisation specialised in elastomers, industrial and speciality chemicals. It supplies products to rubber related industries, such as tyre, automotive, compounding and shoe sole.
Regional Rubber Trading is a member of the Lee Rubber Group. Its principal activities are marketing and exporting of standard Malaysian rubber (SMR), Standard Indonesian rubber (SIR) and natural latex produced by the Lee Rubber Group's factories.
The group has eight rubber processing factories in Malaysia and ten rubber processing factories in Indonesia. It also operates three latex processing factories in Malaysia.
Sumitomo has seven business units comprising Metal Products, Transportation & Construction Systems, Infrastructure, Media Network & Lifestyle Retail, General Products & Real Estate, Minerals Resources, Energy, Chemical & Electronics, New Industry Development.
