Pirelli highlights premium tyres at Geneva Motor Show
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Geneva, Switzerland -- Pirelli's premium technology is in the spotlight at the 82nd edition of the Geneva Motor Show, with “some of the most eagerly anticipated cars†- such as the most powerful Ferrari ever, the new Berlinetta F12, the Aston Martin Zagato, and the Bentley V8 - all on display sporting P Zero tyres.
In addition to the P Zero family, other Pirelli lines will also be on stage for the industry's most important exhibition, including Cinturato, Scorpion and Winter, both at the Pirelli stand and featured in the stands of some of the event's most prestigious car manufacturers, such as Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Lamborghini, and Volkswagen.
Pirelli said all eyes will also be on the P Zero Silver, the latest addition to the P Zero family and a tyre that takes advantage of Formula One technologies and design techniques, developed for high-end saloon cars and coupés, from the Audi A5 to the Mercedes CLS.
The Italian tyremaker noted in a 6 March news release that its business strategy remains focused on the premium segment, which is the market segment with the highest rates of growth throughout the world, from mature markets such as those in Europe to rapidly growing economies.
Pirelli's premium segment includes the P Zero, Cinturato and Scorpion lines, and the lines of winter tyres.
