Tokai opens Indian AVS plant

Tokyo - Tokai Rubber Industries has held an opening ceremony for its new Indian anti-vibration factory. The plant, 40km south-west of Bangalore, makes AVS systems for cars and light trucks.
The plant represents an investment of some Rs 700 million (euro 10.6 million) and will employ around 210people when it reaches full capacity in 2015. The plant occupies a covered area of 8000 m2 on a 40,000 m2 site.
The unit, named Tokai Rubber Auto-Parts India Private Ltd, began production in January 2012.
