ZF acquires truck cab suspension unit

Friedrichshafen, Germany - ZF Friedrichshafen AG has signed a purchasing contract with ThyssenKrupp Automotive Systems GmbH (TKAS) in respect of its cabin suspension business unit. The deal is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2012.
The product portfolio comprises v-links, 4-point links, and torque rods for rear suspensions as well as control arms for front suspension systems. It also produces tie rods and drag links for commercial vehicle steerings. Stabilisers for cab suspensions also belong to the product range - up to and including complete driver's cabin suspension systems.
TKAS generates a sales figure of about EUR 15 million at its Werdohl location in North Rhine-Westphalia with currently 41 permanent employees. The business unit's production locations are in Dielingen, Ermua (Spain), Izmir (Turkey), Gainesville (USA), Sorocaba (Brazil), and Shanghai (China).
