Toyo moves financial year to Jan-Dec

Osaka, Japan - Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. Is to change the Company's accounting period to Jan-Dec, instead of April-March. This change will require a change to the Company's Articles of Incorporation, which must be approved at the 96th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for late June 2012.

As a result of the change to the accounting period, FY2012 will span a 9 month period from April 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. All consolidated subsidiaries will also move to the same accounting period.
