London -- Rubber prices increased overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up by five yen, trading at yen 278 ($3.61) per kg a few minutes before the close on Wednesday 11 January. Shorter-dated prices were up by about 7 yen, at yen 261.
In Singapore, TSR20 for June delivery was also trading up by $0.10 at $3.44 toward the market close. Short-dated contracts were also up, by eight cents, trading around $3.37 a few minutes before the close.
In India, NMCE said January deliveries rose by about a rupee overnight, to close at Rs 192 ($3.72).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw January 2012 deliveries ease slightly to close at Yuan 26.2 ($4.15) per kilo.
