NR Prices fell over the holidays

London -- Rubber prices plunged sharply over the last week or so. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed at yen 263 ($3.42) per kg on Monday 02 January, around yen 15 down from the pre-Christmas price. Shorter-dated prices were also sharply down, closing at yen 246.
In Singapore, SGX said there was very little trading in either RSS or TSR20.
In India, NMCE said January deliveries eased below Rs200 over the holiday period, to close at Rs 198 ($3.72).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw January 2012 deliveries changed to close at Yuan 26.7 ($4.24) per kilo.
