NR prices move upwards

London -- Rubber prices rose slightly over the last few days. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up, at yen 278 ($3.56) per kg on Thursday 22 December. Shorter-dated prices were also up, closing at yen 260.
In Singapore, SGX said RSS3 for delivery in April 2012 closed at $3.52. TSR20 for April delivery was up, closing at $3.43.
In India, NMCE said January deliveries remained above Rs200 once again, to close at Rs 204 ($3.87).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw January 2012 deliveries rise by a fraction of a yuan to close at Yuan 26.8 ($4.24) per kilo.
