Michelin awards turnkey contract to Technip for Thai rubber plant

Paris -- Michelin Siam Co., Ltd. has awarded to Technip a lump sum turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a new elastomer composite plant to be built in Southern Region Industrial Estate, Songkhla Province, Thailand.
The plant will produce rubber composites.
The contract is in line with Technip's strategy to expand its business base, including its Onshore segment. It covers preliminary engineering, detailed engineering, project management, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and start-up assistance.
