NR Prices recover over the weekend as producers plan support at $3.50

London -- Rubber prices remained stable over the weekend. As a result of the sharp falls at the end of last week, the main producing nations are talking about support if prices fall below $3.50. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up yen 3 at yen 269.9($3.50) per kg on Monday 14 Nov. Shorter-dated prices also increased slightly to close up yen 2 and yen 256.
In Singapore, SGX said RSS3 for delivery in May 2012 was up nearly $0.10, to trade at around $3.52, while short-dated prices were up by the same amount st $3.34. TSR20 for March delivery also rose, to trade around $3.38.
In India, NMCE said November deliveries remained below Rs 200, but rose by 2 rupees to close at Rs 198 ($3.95).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw November deliveries rose by nearly a yuan to close at Yuan 26.6 ($4.18) per kilo.
