Pirelli UK wins government funds

Carlisle, UK -- Pirelli's Carlisle plant has won an unspecified amount of government funding to develop and manufacture low rolling resistance tyres.
The funds come from the second round of the UK government's Regional Growth Fund. Although Pirelli has received a conditional offer for the unspecified sum, reported to be in excess of £1 million (euro 1.1 million), it will not receive the money until a due diligence process has been completed.
