London -- Rubber prices eased sharply in the early part of the week, falling well below $4. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed at yen 279.5 ($3.63) per kg on Thursday 20 Oct. Shorter-dated prices fell further to close at yen 275.
In Singapore, SGX said RSS3 prices for April delivery closed at $3.85 amid very light trading. TSR20 for delivery in March 2012 closed at $3.70.
In India, NMCE said November deliveries closes at Rs 212 ($4.25) per kilo.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw November deliveries close at Yuan 26.3 ($4.23) per kilo.
