Philippines passes laws to establish Rubber Research Institute

Manila, Philippines -- The Philippine Senate has passed a bill which aims to set up a Rubber Research Institute.
The proposed Institute aims to, "initiate and administer research and development programs that will improve the quality and increase productivity of rubber, especially for the benefit of smaII-holder rubber producers and processors."
The Institute wold be established at the Mindanao State University (MSU) to be based in the Municipality of Naga, Province of Zamboanga sibugay. It would be under the control and supervision of the Department of Agriculture (DA)
