CRIA compares Chinese tyre prices for May by region

Beijing - China Rubber Industry Association has posted reference prices for truck and car tyres across different regions in May 2011.
The data covers truck and passenger car radial tyres of different sizes, as well as a number of different sizes of light truck bias tyres for premium and second-class products. The figures cover all areas in China from Beijing and Heilongjiang in the north to Chongqing and Guangdong in the south of the country.
The highest average prices for most types of tyres were found in the province of Fujian. For example, truck tyres in the 12.00R20-18PR range were yuan 3680, and passenger car tyres in the 215/55R16 range were yuan 1500.
The region of Guangxi tended to be the region with the lowest prices for tyres. In comparison, truck tyres in the 12.00R20-18PR range were yuan 2930, and passenger car tyres in the 215/55R16 range were yuan 1050.
The highest national average price for truck tyres was yuan 3680, and the lowest price was yuan 3210. For car tyres, the highest national average price was yuan 1133 and the lowest was yuan 927. For light truck bias tyres, the highest national average was yuan 991 and the lowest was yuan 866.
