Zeon Corp reports strong recovery in sales for 12 months

Tokyo -- Zeon Corp said sales in the 12 months to 31 March 2011 rose by nearly 20 perent, but profits more than doubled.
The rubber supplier reported sales of yen 270 383 million (euro 2361 million) for the year, up by 19.7 percent on the previous year's figure of yen 226 billion.
Operating income reached yen 35 300 million (euro 308 million), nearly quadruple the figure of yen 9.3 billion recorded a year earlier.
The company said it expects sles for the current year (to March 2012) to increase by 3.6 percent to yen 280 billion and operating income to fall by 30 percent to yen 25 billion.
