Fenner PLC sales rise 35 percent in first half

London -- Fenner PLC, a maker of belts from rubber and other polymers, has announced strong results for the six months ended 28 February 2011.
Revenue increased by 35 percent to £332.5m (euro 373.5 million). Underlying profit before taxation increased by 93 percent to £31.4m; profit before taxation increased by 120 percent to £26.6m
Mark Abrahams, Chairman, commented, "The Group has achieved a very strong performance in the six months to February 2011. Strong trading in both the Conveyor Belting and Advanced Engineered Products Divisions has generated sharp increases in profitability. The benefits of our investment programmes and the strength of our end user markets provide the basis for our maintained confidence.
