Tokai Rubber develops voluntary energy-saving systems

Tokyo -- In the wake of the Tohoku Earthquake, Tokai Rubber has develoepd some voluntary energy-saving measures.
At its plant in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Tokai will suspend some manufacturing priocesses, and convert some wateful energy processes to more efficient ones. In addition, vending machines will be switched off and removed and convert lighting to LED-based systems. The combiuned effect should reduce overall energy consumprtion by around 25 percent, or 1.455 MW
The company will also encourage employees and customers to reduce energy consumption at home.
