French finance minister tells drivers to inflate tyres

Paris -- French finance minister Christine Lagarde said on French Radio that drivers should inflate their tyres to the correct pressure to save fuel.
"Firstly, you must pay close attention to your tyre pressure, secondly reduce your speed a little bit, thirdly avoid driving in a stop-start manner," she told France Info radio. She also said drivers should switch off the engine if they are stopped for more than 20 seconds.
