Conti raising U.S. truck tyre prices 10 percent on April 1

Fort Mill, South Carolina -- Continental Tire the Americas is raising prices in the U.S. on Continental-, General- and AmeriSteel-brand truck tyres by 10 percent on April 1.
The Fort Mill-based tyre maker cited escalating raw materials and energy prices as reasons for the increase.
Conti last raised prices on truck tyres in the U.S. on Jan. 1, by up to 8 percent.
Conti also is raising prices April 1 on Continental-, General- and proprietary-brand passenger and light truck tyres in the U.S
