Kraton returns to profit in 2010
ERJ staff report (DS)
Houston, Texas -- Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. has reported strong results for the 12 months ended December 31, 2010.
Sales were up by a third to $1228 million from $968 million a year previously. Net income was reported at $96.7 million, compared to a small loss the previous year.
The increase in sales revenues compared 2009 was primarily the result of higher sales volumes and increased pricing in response to rising raw material costs and other factors. Full year 2010 sales volume was 307 kilotons, up 18 percent compared to 2009.
