Rubber in Engineering Group to hold technical discussion

    London -- The Rubber in Engineering Group of the Polymer Society is holding a technical meeting on fillers in rubber on 18 Mar 2011.

    The event will take place at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) HQ in London from 2pm, and will focus on innovations in the use of fillers in the rubber industry.

    Attendance needs to be confirmed by first registering with the event organiser Joseph Hallett at [email protected] Registration is free for members of the IOM3.

    The topics of discussion will be as follows:

    Joseph Hallett (Columbian Chemicals Co) "Effects of Filler Morphology and Loading on Tire Inner liner Permeability: A Computational Study"

    Mukund Tiwari, Ko Arts, Gerard van den Hondel, (Teijin Aramid, The Netherlands) "Sulfron for tan delta reduction in Mechanical Rubber Goods"

    David Lowe, Andrew Chapman and Stuart Cook (TARRC) "Organoclay Nano-composites by In Situ Modification”.

    Laurent Guy (Rhodia SILICA) “Title to be confirmed”
