Another Yokohama wins zero emission status
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo - Yokohama Tire Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TRYT) has achieved "complete zero emissions" - that is, no waste subject to direct landfill disposal. The achievement, which occurred in November, was the fifth at the company's non-Japanese production locations.
All 15 overseas production sites aim at achieving "complete zero emissions" by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012. Along with TRYT, Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. in the Philippines, and Hangzhou Yokohama Tire Co., Ltd., Yokohama HAMATITE (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. and Yokohama Hoses & Coupling (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., in China, have met that goal.
