Kenda Rubber to add capacity in Yunlin

Taipei, Taiwan -- Kenda Rubber is to add capacity for 5000 passenger car tyres/day at its plant in Yunlin, China. The increased capacity is due on stream from the middle of next year (Q2 2011), according to an official news outlet in Taiwan.
CENS.com, the Taiwan Economic News portal, said the company is adding a new plant adjacent to its existing plant in Yunlin, which will ramp up to fulll production by the end of 2011.
CENS said Kenda has capacity for 10 000 motorcycle tyres daioly and for 60 000 bicycle tyres daily at its factory in Tianjin, China. The company has capacity for some 80 million passenger car tyres per year at Shenzhen and Tianjin, China and in Vietnam. The report said the comapny wants to increase this to 100 million units annually.
