L&T denies reports that it is to link with MHI in heavy tyres

Mumbai, India -- Indian papers are reporting un-named sources within Indian engineering conglomerate as saying the comapny will collaborate with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to make equipment for heavy tyres.

A senior source within L&T said he knew nothing of the reports. MHI did not respond to requests for clarification.

The reports suggested that L&T had initiated talks to make MHI equipment underlicence in India.
