Rancho Cucamongo, California -- Kumho Tire USA Inc. is offering its new high-mileage premium all-season eco Solus HM as the first in a series of eco-friendly tyres it claims will have less impact on the environment while delivering exceptional performance.
Manufactured with Kumho's latest rubber compounding technology, the eco Solus HM -- the HM stands for “high mileage†-- delivers “outstanding traction, excellent ride comfort†and a 100,000-mile limited treadwear warranty, which is one of the highest available from any tyre manufacturer, according to the Rancho Cucamonga-based company.
Rick Brennan, Kumho Tire USA's vice president of marketing, said “being earth friendly no longer requires sacrifices in tyre performance. Past technology required giving up traction to be less impactful to our environment.â€
The company said it has changed that by combining high anti-abrasion rubber technology with eco-friendly processing oils in the eco Solus HM, helping make it one of the lowest cost-per-mile tyres available in the standard touring segment.
The new tyre is available in 23 T-speed-rated sizes, ranging from 13- to 17-inch rim diameters, for vehicles from small sedans through minivans.
Kumho, the US distribution arm of South Korea's Kumho Tire Co., operates a central distribution facility at its headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga and four additional distribution centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and New Brunswick, New Jersey.
