Paris -- VSG3D -- a supplier of "industrial-strength graphics solutions" -- has said it is supplying software to Michelin to aid engineers visualise the results of FEA analysis software.
Michelin has adapted VSG's Open Inventor software for its own needs. VSG said, "Open Inventor technology is fully integrated in Michelin simulation software. It offers sophisticated visualization capabilities for in-depth post-processing and exploration of nonlinear simulation results."
VSG said its software can directly access application data, so reducing memory demands and speeding the time to display data. The software is capable of clipping along any 3D plane, flexible slicing, wireframe display, iso-lines, iso-surfaces, transparency and stereoscopic views, said te company.
