Hartville, Ohio -- Pelmar Engineering said it has acquired machinery from Trelleborg's recently-closed solid tyre making plant in Hartville, Ohio.
The Israeli company said it has bought two K7 mixing lines and solid tyre production machery. Trelleborg had previously transferred some of the equipment from Hartville to its Sri Lanka operations.
With this acquisition, Pelmar has positioned itself as the largest supplier of pre-owned rubber machinery in the tyre and technical rubber industry after finalizing the purchase of Continental Semperit plant in Traiskirchen earlier this year. "We have the largest variety of machines for tyre production and now for solid tyres.", said Hagai Peled, Pelmar's new Managing Director.
Jacob Peled, previously Pelmar's managing director said, "Hagai Peled, my son, has assumed the role of Managing Director of the entire Group as of January 1st. I continue as Executive Chairman to assist in accomplishing several projects."
