Rhodia, Dow Corning work together in silica/silane technology for tyres

Paris, France -- Rhodia and Dow Corning Corp. are to co-develop new silica/silane products for the tyre industry. Under a new agreement the two companies plan to develop and commercialise innovative silica/silane combinations, principally for the tyre industry where the association of precipitated silica and silane is used in low-energy tyres.
Through this partnership, Dow Corning and Rhodia see opportunities to create breakthrough solutions for their customers, enabling further performance improvements in the field of sustainable mobility, such as fuel savings and emissions reductions.
There was no further information on the planned cooperation as ERJ went to press.
