Michelin to temporarily close Dundee plant
ERJ staff report (DS)
Dundee, UK -- A Michelin spokesman has confirmed reports saying that it intends to shut down its Dundee car tyre factory for a week in October, with further shut-downs due in November and December.
The company blamed the temporary closure on weakening demand for car tyres across Europe. The plant employs 800 and produces around 23 000 tyres each day.
