Michelin to be exclusive supplier of low-energy tyres to Kia Cee'd
ERJ staff report (DS)
Paris -- Michelin said it will supply highly fuel-efficient tyres to equip the Kia cee'd lineup. These cars are powered by the latest environmentally friendly engine technologies.
Michelin will be the sole supplier of original equipment tyres for Kia's low environmental impact models. The tyres will play a role in reducing the cars' eco-footprint, helping to increase fuel efficiency by 0.2 liters per 100 kilometers and reduce CO2 emissions by 5 grams per kilometre.
The new tyre supply contract has therefore given new impetus to the Michelin-Kia partnership, which began in 2006 when Kia selected Michelin as the exclusive supplier of 15â€, 16†and 17†tyres to equip the carmaker's cee'd lineup.
