Hexpol increases sales. profits in first half of year

Malmö, Sweden -- Hexpol AB, the compounding company previously kown as Hexagon, has published its first half-year results since the stock market flotation in June of this year.
In the six months to June 2008, Hexpol said its net sales increased by 30 percent to SEK 1698 million (euro 180 million) from SEK 1306 million a year ago. Operating profits increased by 13 percent to SEK 171 million, while net profit rose by the same percentage, to SEK 104 million.
The Group is organized in two business areas, Hexpol Compounding and Hexpol Engineered Products, and has about 2 300 employees in nine countries.
