Indian Oil to build SBR plant in India

Panipat, India -- Indian Oil Corp. said it plans to set up a 120 kt/year emuslion SBR project at Panipat in India. The investment is around Rs 7610 million (Euro 115 million). This would be IndianOil's first ever SBR plant. IndianOil plans to hold a stake of 48% and bring in two partners by offering 32% and 20% stake each.
Indian Oil had not responded to questions by our press deadline, but it posted a news story from the Indian Financial Express on its website (see below).
India currently imports its entire SBR requirement, however the country already has two BR plants.
