ATC to start operations at Washington plant next month
ERJ staff report (DS)
Chino, California -- American Tire Corporation (ATC) has said its Washington operations -- but not production -- will start in August 2008. The Washington facilities will primarily produce Colorado brand 63-inch and 57-inch tyres.
ATC said it is currently recruiting staff in the Washington area. Manufacturing equipment will be moved to its new A 500,000 square feet facility facilities progressively, ready for the 1st phase. Production will begin as soon as everything is ready but not in August.
ATC added that it expects to purchase more land with 1,000 acres later this year for its further expansion in west USA.
