Bridgestone names tech centre chief for US
Akron, Ohio -- Bridgestone/Firestone has named Yasutaka Enoki president of its Akron-based Bridgestone Americas Centre for Research and Technology, effective Aug. 1.
The 33-year Bridgestone Corp. veteran will succeed Yutaka Yamaguchi -- who has been transferred to the post of assistant managing director at Bridgestone Europe NV/SA's technical centre in Rome. Enoki will assume Yamaguchi's former role as executive vice president of tyre development and technology and also have a position on the board of BFS and Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc.
Enoki joined Bridgestone Corp. in 1975 and has held the titles of director, assistant to the vice president and officer of product development at the company's Tokyo technical centre. In February, he accepted his latest position as Yamaguchi's assistant
